Hathras Case: A matter of concern

Is humanity still alive in us? Heart-wrenching incidents are taking place across the world. More than 500 Dalit women were raped in Uttar Pradesh in 2019. Rape is a matter of concern for everyone, aa the situation is worsening by each passing day. Where are we humans heading towards? 

 Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, a Dalit 19-year-old girl was allegedly raped and assaulted by four upper-caste men. Rape an issue or cruelty happening for decades—the death of a young Dalit girl that has sparked nationwide outrage.

Dalit being oppressed in society for several years. Hathras’ case has sparked the discrimination against 200 million Dalit’s, who are the lowest in the caste system. Justice needs to be served to the young girl.

A 19-year-old girl was assaulted in a field outside her village in Uttar Pradesh on September 14. She died two weeks later in New Delhi during her treatment. A government forensic lab report states that young women were not raped.

Various Dalit communities, opposition parties protested for justice across India. Uttar Pradesh government hand the investigation over to CBI on Saturday. Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi went to meet the victim’s family.
